Central Alabama Aging Consortium is hosting a free webinar August 19, 2021 at 10 AM, “Caring for the Caregiver”.
Today, the burden of care for aging adults falls primarily on family members. These family caregivers play an important role in the care continuum providing over $470 billion worth of unpaid care and support.
Our featured speakers this month will be Dementia Friendly Alabama coordinator Abbey Rogers and Alabama Cares coordinator Monica Barnes. Join them as they discuss the difficulties caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease and practical tools and tips you can use to create a safe, comfortable environment both for the person with dementia and the caregiver.
