Central Alabama Aging Consortium (CAAC) is a part of a state-wide aging network that provides a variety of Home and Community based services to the region’s senior and disabled populations and their caregivers.

Who We Are

CAAC coordinates services for the elderly and disabled populations and their caregivers in Autauga, Elmore, & Montgomery counties. The primary goal is to develop, coordinate, and provide services in the community that supports an active and independent lifestyle where those we serve can live and thrive.

Our Goal

Our goal is to foster independence and improve the quality of life for all senior citizens and their caregivers in Autauga, Elmore, & Montgomery counties.

Attendees will receive additional information on aging-related topics including in-home services, caregivers, dementia, elder abuse, legal planning, care transitions, healthcare fraud, medication, and more! Visit our Calendar to see dates for upcoming events!

Healthy Aging
Promoting Health and Wellness

CAAC offers several programs to promote healthy aging. Geri-Fit is a program that helps rebuild strength. A Matter of Balance is a program designed to reduce the fear of falling and improve activity levels, thus reducing falls. CAAC also offers a Chronic Disease Self-Management class that assists older adults in managing their chronic illnesses.

Robotic Companion Pets Now Available

Dementia Friendly Alabama has several robotic companion pets now available to support those with dementia and their caregivers!
These pets are designated for seniors in Montgomery, Autauga, and Elmore counties that have Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia.
