June 17 – Fighting Crime Against Senior Citizens – Elder Abuse Prevention Webinar

JUNE 17 AT 10 AM

Crime against Senior Citizens can happen in the community or in a long-term care facility. Ombudsmen DeLane Richardson and Caroline Akins will discuss ways to identify and report various types of Elder Abuse so each participant can become an “Elder Abuse Crime Fighter”.

The Elder Abuse Tool-kit will also be available for participants.

THIRD THURSDAY TALKS

Please join us March 18th at 10 AM where we will be overviewing two of our discharge support programs that help patients transition from their hospital stay back home.

The Hospital to Home program offers ongoing in-home support to help with activities of daily living as well as light housekeeping.

The ADRC COVID-19 program can offer temporary support purchasing equipment, medication, or other medical expenses not covered by insurance, for any patients that have had COVID-19 or are at risk of getting COVID-19.

Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program

 

The Seniors Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) is designed to:

  • Provide low-income seniors with access to locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey and herbs.
  • Increase the domestic consumption of agricultural commodities through farmers’ markets, roadside stands, and community supported agricultural programs.
  • Aid in the development of new and additional farmers’ markets, roadside stands, and community support agricultural programs.

If approved, you will receive your vouchers by mail to be used at Farmers Market Authority (FMA) approved markets and roadside stands. The coupons/vouchers must be expended by November 15 of the calendar year you receive them.
